Description
Staff from laboratories participating in the F1-B 2019 Yeast Surveys program can individually earn CE credit by reading the Final Critique, (accessed online or mailed to the institution) and answering online learning assessment questions. The online learning assessment questions reinforce concepts and discussion points presented in the reading.

Objectives
As a result of participating in this assessment activity, you should be able to:

  1. Understand the challenges of accurate identification of Candida auris (C. auris) when phenotypic, biochemical, or proteomic systems are used.
  2. List the most likely clinical presentations of C. auris infection and recognize underlying conditions which may predispose individuals to infection.
  3. Discuss the best antifungals for effective treatment of C. auris.
  4. Discuss transmission, decontamination, and infection control of C. auris in the health care environment.
